Boho Beach Wedding | Los Cabos
A Baja Wedding Inspired
Romana and Mariano are two wonderful souls, residents of Cabo San Lucas, Baja, Mexico; always seeing the beauty and patterns in all that surround us. Los Cabos was their first vacation spot together and now Los Cabos has become witness of their love.
As a Slovenian, a beach wedding was something we always admired from the magazines and movies, but I never imagined I’d get married at the beach. It seemed just a very nice fantasy. We wanted to celebrate our love with the closest family and friends, and an intimate beach wedding was also probably the best reason to bring my parents and European friends to Cabo for the first time.
We got married at Zacatitos beach in San Jose del Cabo – this was the area where Mariano used to take me when I first came to visit Los Cabos. The ceremony was set up at a beautiful private empty beach in Zacatitos, and wedding reception was held at a private villa in Laguna Hills, owned by our friends. The house won a Silver medal in Mexican Bienalle for architecture, designed by Colectivo MX.
The entire wedding was Baja inspired, using the colors you experience at our beautiful destination, where the ocean meets the dessert. Color palette : whites, greens with accents of gold and red and the endless blue of the ocean backdrop.
We love the flower crown Romana used to complete her Greek goddess look!
My bouquet was beautiful! It had white anemone with blue/black centre, accompanied with small white roses and Baja inspired greens. The anemones flower is said to have sprung from the tears of Greek goddess of love and the design of my dress, by Slovenia designer Uros Belantic, had Grecian style. My flower crown completed the look.
The decor was Baja inspired. Our wedding rental and wedding flowers company The Main Event Cabo used the branches of typical Baja torote /elephant trees, adorned with white roses and greens. We had two arches, one as an entrance to the ceremony, and one as a chuppa. We used wooden benches for sitting. Elephant tree branches with greens were also placed on both sides of the isle. To us it was a very romantic setup, beautiful and private, connected to the beach and to Baja.
